A 2 1/2" 454?

That's gonna hurt!

I had the chance to shoot a .454 once. It was the original Freedow Arms model with about a 6 or 7 inch barrel. It hurt. This is just over the top.

I have a 7 1/2", It is manageable.
I was looking for something in the 4 5/8" range rather than having the barrel whacked on mine. That's when I found the Ruger Monster!

I have a 9 1/2 ruger 454 casull
I would love to have the 2 1/2
just to shoot the thing and brag about how much
of a kick it had.

I betcha it isn't going to be much worse.  Short barrel is going to rob a lot of the burn (and recoil)

Not with some red dot or really fast burning powder.
