I think this is the most humid it's been yet this summer. It's been like this over a week now.
It was funny seeing everyone with glasses walk out of McDonald's with foggy lenses. They had the AC cranked down low. It was like walking into a walk-in freezer. My quarter pounder with cheese also had a very fresh bun and was perfectly prepared. The fries also just came out of the fryer. Today was good day. |

The dew point is currently 79 where I'm at. Quoted:

I pay more attention to dew point. Over 70 can be rough. Approach 80 and it's like what op describes. Pure misery. Low 60s is very pleasant. Under 60 is fantastic no matter what the temp. |

This has been one of the most humid summers I can remember, overall temps haven't been too bad, just the humidity.
I've been predator hunting a lot the last month and it's always either raining or over 70 degrees with high humidity. Even at 2am I'm covered in sweat

It's 96 degrees too. I wasn't kidding about the foggy glasses. It's downright steamy. |

Pfft. Come down into the Deep South if you want hot and humid. Walk outside and immediately start sweating and you swear you can feel the moisture hanging in the air. My 5 Huskies are dying. A.C. guy will be here btw 8-10 pm |

Heat index of 114. Google heat index calculator. Input temp and dewpoint. At same temp a dewpoint of 85 gives index of 127. Will show you how just a few degrees can really change how the air feels. One year we had dewpoint in the 90s making the index in the 140s.
The humidity does make a big difference. We had some 98-101 degree days earlier this summer and it felt comfortable, because the air was drier. The past week some days were only in the 80s but I was soaked with sweat after doing anything outside due to the humidity. Just been feeling damp lately. |

People north or Ga complaing about heat.
Suck it up. It'll be like that for us down here till November easily . It's 10 am...86 with 98% humidty..no wind. Pray for the sun to burn it off to take the thickness away only to have a thunderstorm at 3:30 start it all over again. |

Got home from Colorado yesterday.
Immediately felt it while walking through the jetway. It wasn't that bad, but the humidity in conjunction with the piss and sewage smell on Marta and all the ghettofolk was enough to piss me the fuck off. I did not miss this shithole of a city one bit. |

Not me, I've had enough summer. |

I love it. Granted it's probably less so up here than there but I have been down south and plenty of hotter islands near the equator and heat/humidity is my friend. Fuck winter, sad summer is almost over. The litmus test for humidity is Spanish moss. If you've got that, you're in a very humid environment. I can tolerate it, but don't enjoy it. |
