If you wish to sell a stolen motorcycle, listing it on Craigslist with such subtle phrases as "no key, no bill of sale, I can't get a title so don't ask, cash only" will probably not get you the attention you were looking for. In fact, it might insult the intelligence of the reader so badly that he won't be stopped by little things like the local PD not having a public email address, and may cause the reader to fax a copy of the listing complete with your phone number to the local PD. I sincerely hope that you use your time in prison to enlighten yourself in the library, but it's more likely that you'll be on the wrong end of a game of "who dropped the soap?" Quoted: "I sincerely hope that you use your time in prison to enlighten yourself in the library," I would like to point out that you shouldn't assume that they can read. Just sayen. Well, he was able to post on Craigslist, but that might have been a huge tax on his brain power... ![]() |

Quoted: I've seen bikes that had no titles (enduros ridden off road and never licensed) but no bill of sale is a hint that there might be something unscrupulous afoot. Yeah, one of those terms without the others isn't so bad, but it's a little bold to put all of that into the ad. ![]() |

Just to play a weak devils advocate...
Could be a soon to be divorcee trying to get rid of stuff. Dragracer I knew sold the whole works (car, trailer, tools etc) out from under his ex before his divorce. Couple months later the ex started calling around looking for the stuff because most of it was in her name. They were both came off as dirtbags to me so I chocked it up to misery loves company. |
