Cheby really knocked it out of the park with the C7 in general, (except the goofy tail-lights.) $100K for a car is a lot but you're getting a LOT for your money, that thing shames a lot of cars from Italy and Germany. Pretty much this, it would take $150k-$300k in a euro vehicle to match it. |

I still haven't personally sit inside a C7 but when I was looking for fun cars the 'cheapness' of the C6 interior really turned me off. Sure, sure it's fast and plays in leagues much higher but one doesn't want to feel as if he's driving a souled up Cobalt or whatever low-end Ceby. Even the full-leather cars were freakishly cheap looking/feel. I've read the C7 fixed that which is good because for the, to play against Jags, Porsches, etc not many buyers will look over those things. The stigma of older Vettes can't be ignored, I think a gold chain (played of course,) should come standard at closing. |

Quoted: 61 years old the Vette. One of the best performance cars on the road. For the money it can't be beat. Literally. Lot of performance for the money. Guy at work just got a Stingray version. 3.9sec 0-60. sucker gets up and goes. Funny, though...he got an auto (b/c you can't get autostart with a manual....). "That 3.9 is probably just with professional drivers..." You have an auto dude...just slam it to the floor and go. |

I had a Z06 back in high school, it was my first car and I bought it brand new.
Chicks thought it was amazing, my friends thought it was cool....folks who did not like me were jealous as hell (it cost more than some of their parents made in3 years..lol). I ended up trading it in on an M3 when I was in college, it made it much easier to take bitches for a ride if their friends could ride along also. |

Agreed. They should have stayed NA and went for a 9k rpm redline. ![]() Quoted:

Still shouldn't have put a blower on it if it's going to be the track special. The ZR1 fills the high HP blown niche, unless they've melded the two. Agreed. They should have stayed NA and went for a 9k rpm redline. ![]() Fuck that, get both. |

I saw it somewhere that there won't be a zr1 in the C7 generation. Z06 is the big dog. |

I just can't justify spending 80K on a car when I can buy a truck and a car and a motorcycle for close to the same money. A "cheap" truck, a shitty car, and a decent motorcycle, sure. But the only thing that comes close to offering the same performance would be a crotch rocket. |

I imagine GM is having a difficult time topping the C6ZR1's performance with the C7. The C7 added substantial weight to a car that was already pushing the performance envelope. I haven't seen any track data on the C7 yet. |

Somebody threw out a dare to take the "goatse" avatar, and here we are! One of the other avatars offered in the thread is the one that Mikhail_86 is using. |

The Z06 is sweet but as said in the Hellcat thread it will probably be closer to 100k than 80k for most buyers. Still great bang for your buck.

I sat in a 1LT C7 recently. Its interior is a HUGE step up from my 2009 2LZ Z06. It blows my interior out of the water. Theres still something about the back end that I dont't like. The rest of the car is gorgeous though. I'm still in my 20's so I'm not quite old enough to give up the rawness of a C6Z for a refined C7 quite yet. http://i.imgur.com/pC6ky6S.jpg Quoted:

| Tail lights look like sideways hockey sticks at night . the problem is it is a GM and while they charge enough for the higher end ones to build a true quality car , the still use parts bin switches from a Cobalt and cheap plastic. The depreciation is enough that I keep looking at used ones because in spite of it all it is a lot of car for the money |

I saw it on I75 just North of the Chrysler Tech center. Leisurely being driven by a silver haired gentleman. |
