So there I am sitting at work, bored to near death. I say to myself, "you have not bought a gun in a while." Call my local firearms seller and ask if he has any Para Ordinance P-13's. He says no but he will check around and see what price he can get. Meanwhile I call another dealer to see what they have, and voila they have one for $650, Now I am kinda partial to my dealer so I head over to his place to see what his results were.

I get there and he tells me the best he could find was one for $827. now there is loyalty and then there is saving $200 bucks. So I am kinda of browsing and chewing the fat with him and a long time friend when I see it. A slightly used Browning Hipower in the 9mm. Not a big fan of 9mm but have always wanted a hipower. I had relegated myself to buying an FN or some other clone, I just could not see myself forking over $700 to $800 dollars for a 9mm. Especially when "shudders" Glocks can be had for around $500 to $600 sometimes cheaper. Price on the Browing: $450 with two hicap mags.

Now I own a 9mm and another handgun. I am a gun addict, I admit it. Now, I need to buy a safe.

Congrats on the purchase eagle.  Well before my pistol permit days - Id always eyeball the HiPowers in the gun catalogs.  Then I found out they were used by the SAS...well that settled it, Mall Ninjadom here I come. Nice pieces, no doubt.  Have yet to aquire one myself, but after having the opportunity to sling a few rounds from them Im certainly impressed. I  like them better than the Beretta 92 in my experiences.

I'm perhaps on the verge of a new pistol aquisition myself, just haven't  decided yet. I thought it was going to be a decision between a Springfield 1911 or XD9. Now, I gotta dig out old copies of the 1989 Guns & Ammo Military Small Arms Annual to look at those HiPowers again!

Now go get a Sig P226, and you will have the two finest 9mm combat pistols in history.  Congrats, highpowers are NICE.

speaking of new toys, I came away with a replica SIG P229 (airsoft) for harassing the local wildlife.
