Asking about Mary Jo Kopechne was hilarious!!! That was brilliant. "Yeah, I think she supports this" And I loved the "unjust" things those Brits did and how those revolutionaries blew it out of proportion. And who can forget how the mafia and yakuza will probably have machine guns but regular citizens should not. I weep for our future..... |

I've always said that I thought universities were a breeding ground for liberalism....then I went back to college and the thought was driven into a conviction.
Kids go from living with mommy and daddy and going to high school where teachers are limited in the amount of rhetoric they can spew. Then they go to college and treat the liberal professors with the same respect they gave their high school teachers. The only difference is now their teachers aren't holding back with the liberalism...but nobody told the students. When I was attending a local private college there was one occasion that brought this to light. I had a Concealed Weapons Permit but it was hot that day and in order to not upset the powers that controlled my grades and ability to continue attending class I left the pistol in the car but still had the empty leather holster on my belt. A nearby kid in his early 20s asked me what "that" was for. I explained. He responded with, "Professor [so and so] said most people are killed by their own guns. That's scary that people can carry one around like that." I used that opportunity to educate the youngster, but it was still disappointing to see how much influence professors can have over students. |
