I thought I might actually get some useful suggestions, but this is going nowhere.  I'll look elsewhere.

If you have to ask for product keys then you shouldn't be attempting what you're about to attempt.

But we're not a "Linux-friendly" household, and there's no way I'm spending gobs of money on Apple products.  I've got the .iso files for Windows 7 straight from Microsoft, but I need product keys.  Does anyone have any recommendations for reputable vendors for such?

Also, someone who can't find out something so simple almost certainly lacks the ability to determine how good or bad W7 is vs W10...

This.   Works perfectly for me.

I had an issue with occasional blue screens, but I traced that to an outdated motherboard chipset driver.   No problems since it was updated.

Your problem probably has a solution.

There is always ReactOS.

Quite an impressive effort in taking apart the blackbox that is the Windows NT kernel.

Just getting a key is not a regular thing, but can be done. This is a very restrictive OEM key, but can be done with a fresh install.
Surprisingly legit

You're only other option is loaders and that is b& camp territory to discuss here.

OP if you really want Windows 7 just buy something with Windows 7 on it. Pick a brand and look in the business section.

For example: http://www.dell.com/us/business/p/laptops?~ck=mn#!facets=80770~0~16063830&p=1

The short version:  Win10 keeps "updating" itself, getting ever more bloated, and breaking/disabling features on our computers.  The long version is that it's a piece of shit that keeps re-enabling the stench no matter how many times or ways we disable the smell-o-vision of their update process.

The extremely short version:  We hate it.

Define "bloated".

Windows 10 and 8 are both leaner than 7.
