I wasn't attacking the man, I was just saying that going back and looking at the show now, particularly the posted clip, was creepy.

Any of you thinking I was trying to attack him can fuck off and die - that wasn't the point and I won't let the thread spin out of control on a misconception.

Lock - hell delete - this thing before people get even more confused.

Mr. Rogers was a good guy. He helped give lessons to millions of little kids. He did it without flash or violence. He did it without selling DVDs and rock concert like shows like the wiggles and other crap my niece watches. He didn't espouse some left wing bullshit like many kids are fed now a days.

Guys like the dudes on the Wiggles charging outrageous prices to their shows are far creepier.

I am not going to get all bent out of shape over this but Mr Rogers was a good guy and I don't think he deserves this insinuation. Especially in this world full of really evil folks Mr Rogers has done no harm.

I just noticed. I am far more concerned about people over the age of 12 reading and watching anime... Seriously...

I heard he was an ex-Navy SEAL. He always wears long sleves to cover up all the tats.

this is the way people have been brainwashed to react over the last 20 years.  when the 1st season if Sesame Street was released on DVD recently, it was rated as PG13 because Gordan invited a kid over to his place and it showed smoking

Oh, I liked him as a kid. I still think he's a pretty darn nice guy. That there aren't more like him is why people look at him with suspicion today. Sad deal really.

Have a little respect.  He accomplished more for kids in the time God gave him here than you ever will.

+1

There is NOTHING that indicates that Mr. Rogers was anything but a good upstanding man who dedicated his life to entertaining kids. He certainly did more for kids than the OP ever will, and did it all without getting rich of living any undercover decadent life.

He was a good man with integrity and a willingness to share his knowledge with others. He gets nothing but respect from me, RIP Mr. Rogers.

It's a shame that the fucking monsters that prey on children have screwed up everyone's personal radars so bad.

Its a shame really.  Contrast one of his (low key, gentler, respectful) shows with the frenetic, hyperactive shit that passes for children's programming these days.

I can see the concern for pedophilia, as pedophiles are rarely suspected until they're actually caught, but he seemed to have been the gentle-type his entire life, including childhood.

Combined with the lack of any accusations over his entire career, which would have been a give-away, Mr. Rogers was the real deal.
