| Me and the wife make plenty of money to pay the bills, and have money left over, but I guess I'm just very poor at sticking to a budget. We don't seem to ever have any money, but I know we make it. Has anyone ever used any kind of budget software that helps, and is fairly easy to use? If so please let me know what it is, and what you think of it. |

I've used Quicken for years, and IMO, it might be overkill for simple household budgets. It's great for tracking stocks and mutual funds. You have to remember to enter every check and debit card purchase into Quicken or it gets out of sync, and you're screwed. Excel is better for forecasting, IMO. If you want to run a series of what-ifs, Excel can't be beat. |
Deluxe Pro is way overkill and basic won't do what you want. |
| O.K. so last night I went out, and bought quicken 2007 home and business. I did the walk through, and added all my nimbers, and whatnot. Now is there a wizard on that thing, that walks you through some of the different things it does, or a tutorial program that teaches you how to use it effectivly? |
