Need help to ID a US Army WW2 patch

Was at a resale shop with a buddy yesterday and he picked up a WW2 or right after WW2 dress jacket. Had a patch I’ve never seen on the left sleeve, wondering if anyone here is familiar.

looking at it I have to wonder if it has anything to do with meteorology.

Our current situation is a disaster, wrapped in a fiasco, enveloped in a massacre, surrounded by a cluster event.
