Today I used a cordless Dewalt tool, similar to a drill, except it was for cutting sheet metal. The tip made a scissor like action, cutting the sheet metal, and taking about 1/4" of metal along with it.

I asked the guy who I borrowed it from the name, and he called it "double snips."


A google search has returned nothing of interest.

Does anyone know the actual name of this tool, and more importlantly, does RIDGID make one?

Thanks, it was the power shears.


Unfortunately, after searching RIDGID's website, I don't think they make one. I was hoping  to interchange batteries.
