Didn't you trade up for that stiff Jason Campbell last year?

I don't give a shit this year  because the Steelers are drafting last

Now, I am excited about the NHL draft because the Penguins have the second pick and I hope they can land the big American born defenseman!

I gave up on football when Dion Sanders was trying to teach Steve Young how to dance on the sidelines,it was a pathetic display.

All the scripted endzone dances, autographing a football in the endzone and all those "me me me"things lead me to believe that the teams spend more time preparing for endzone celebrations that concentrating to play as a team.

Let's see what they do with the #4 pick. I'm betting they trade down.

Yep, and he scored a massive 3 on the QB test that Vince Young scored an 11 on.

Marcus Vick isn't one of the deserving Tech players that I speak of either.

No where in my post did I say he was deserving. I simply asked VTHOKIESHOOTER a question about him because he's plugged into Va Tech.

Believe me, I don't have a high opinion of Marcus. You should try living in this area and listening to the local news about this kid. He's a retard.

ETA - I can see how you might have interpreted my post as thinking Marcus Vick to a deserving player. My post skills are weak this morning...I need some coffee

I am pretty sanguine about the Dolphins' draft pick...I trust Nick Saban to make the most of the picks we have.  I'd actually not mind at all if we traded down to pick up another second and fifth rounder.
But if we stay where we are, I would be happy with any of the following:
Jimmy Williams, CB, VTech.
Winston Justice, OT, USC.
Chad Greenway, OLB, Iowa.
Santonio Holmes, WR, Ohio State.
Lendale White, RB, USC.

Michael Vick Hit With Sex Suit
Woman claims star NFL quarterback passed along herpes in 2003
APRIL 5--Claiming that Michael Vick gave her herpes, a Georgia woman is suing the star NFL quarterback for negligence and battery. According to the below lawsuit, Sonya Elliot, a 26-year-old health care worker, was infected with the sexually transmitted disease in April 2003 after an unprotected encounter with Vick at the athlete's Duluth, Georgia home. Elliott alleges that after testing positive for Herpes Simplex 2, she confronted the Atlanta Falcons star, 24, about her condition. "I've got something to tell you. I've got it," Vick admitted to her, according to Elliott's State Court complaint, which alleges that Vick then told her that "he had not known how to tell her about his condition, and that it was not something that he liked to talk about." Elliott's complaint also contends that Vick "apologized profusely" for not telling her he was infected with the STD. Elliot's lawsuit alleges that Vick has used the name "Ron Mexico" and, in a related court filing, her lawyers are seeking Vick's admission that he used the "Mexico" alias--and perhaps other fake names--"for the purpose of herpes testing and/or treatment." In her lawsuit, which does not specify monetary damages, Elliott states that she met Vick at a Virginia Beach nightclub in May 2001 and, shortly thereafter, began a close personal relationship with the football star (though the couple did not have sex until late-2002). Last December, Vick, the top overall pick in the 2001 National Football League draft, signed a ten-year, $130 million contract with the Falcons, the richest deal in league history.

I like the NFL, but I think the NFL Draft is the most overblown day in sports. You won't know if most of the picks are right for three years.

But for the players it is life. Imagine going from cafeteria Turkey & gravy to Filet Mignon & Champagne every night! If you are picked high enough.

And just settled two days ago for an "undisclosed" sum.

Otherwords, Mike was saying "Yeah I might have given you herpies, here's a couple hundered thousand to keep your damn mouth shut."

I have worked the Falcon's charter flight before, and to tell the truth from the flight crews I have chatted to, he's no upstanding citizen off the field.

Falcons fan. I say trade Vick to the Jets for their number 1's, get the big OT Ferguson, the Memphis running back later on in the round, and grab Gilles, the massive guard from UGA in the 2nd round. Then sign Schaub to a multi year deal and go win some games!

OK, back to reality. We'll probably get a DL in the 2nd round since we gave our first rounder up for Abraham. Vick will continue to overthrow wide open receivers, but make great plays with his legs thereby fueling the marketing machine that is the Atlanta Falcons.

I'm bitter....

Not bitter at all here.  Atlanta Chicklets can keep their "star" quarterback.  I'm looking forward to this season, and I really would like to see us pick up someone in the secondary.  Get those towels out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since the Texans resigned Carr, getting Vince Young would be too much of the cap devoted to QB's.

Texans take Reggie Bush most likely, even though we need help on the D and O-lines.

Kansas City Chiefs...

K.C. needs some big-time help on Defense, so that's where most of their effort will likely be focused.

Any decent CB to play, Hell, Start! opposite Patrick Surtain. There's quite a few good ones out there...it'll probably be either Jonathan Joseph from South Carolina or Antonio Cromarte out of Florida State.

K.C. has one of the shittiest secondaries in the NFL except for Surtain...as a die-hard Chiefs fan, it hurts me to say that, but it's true. Thank God they finally got rid of Dexter McLeon...he redefined the word "worthless". I swear he had the words, "BURN ME" tattoed on his forehead or written on his helmet.

A talented rookie CB will have NO PROBLEM being a starter. A few big plays and he could become an overnight sensation in K.C. We REALLY need some "D"...having the NFL's #1-ranked Offense for the past two years hasn't done shit for us...we've watched the playoffs from the house both years.

We could also use a decent WR, too. But it looks like the Chiefs are talking to Javon Walker from Green Bay, so they may or may not take a WR in the draft. If K.C. does draft a WR, it might be Santonio Holmes from Ohio State, if he lasts that long.

As another Georgian who has seen him play miserably any time the other team has a halfway decent defense and as one who has had to listen to his arrogant chest thumping the last several years, I will lump him in with Marcus.

Vick has taken the Falcons to the playoffs, but they will NEVER reach the Super Bowl with him as quarterback.  The deeper a team goes in the playoffs, the better the defenses get.

If he could pass worth a crap, he would not need to make great plays with his legs.  Compare his total offense, running and passing, to even a mediocre quarterback, and he comes up short 99 times out of 100.

2) Saints - D'Brickashaw Ferguson OT VA
3) Titans - Mario Williams DE NC State
4) Jets - Matt Leinart QB USC
5) Packers - Vernon Davis TE Maryland
6) 49ers - Haloti Ngata DT Oregon
7) Raiders - Vince Young QB Texas
8) Bills - Brodrick Bunkley DT FL State
9) Lions - A.J. Hawk LB OH State
10) Cardinals - Winston Justice T USC

But I wouldn't be surprised to see the Saints take Leinart with the #2 pick. They're going to need another QB besides Drew Brees.

I also wouldn't be surprised to see Vince Young slip out of the top ten. Al Davis is the only one in the Raiders camp who wants him. Everyone else wants Winston Justice.

I don't see the Saints taking Leinart after paying Brees the big bucks. Although Brees really stepped up his game when his starting position was being threatened!

I'm not too suprised it wasn't on techsideline, @ the UM boards most of what was posted were none too flattering photochops of Ron.

If it was during the off season Jan-Aug. then chances are I might have missed it.

Then don't be telling us what a fine upstanding young man Mike Vick is.

Well shit dude, I live all of 5 miles from the Tech campus, I would have thought that such news would have made it all over the place.  I can't keep up with EVERYTHING

...I hope my Carolina Panthers do well in the draft this year.  The only draftes I'm looking at are my Furman boys Ingle Martin (QB) and Willie Freeman (LB).

I fogot all about Ingle....I hope he does well. He was a class act, unlike some of our other QB transfers.
