I haven't been around in awhile and I've really missed all the Old Guard. Everyone from LPD_Tactical, BeeKeeper and Lumpy....for some strange reason, I even miss Cyanide and Sarge. 
The paperback proof for my very first novel arrived from the publisher yesterday. I'm actually able to hold the result of all my work in my hands! It's very satisfying!  My husband even got me a shadow box to display it.

This free promotion runs through 23:59, 06/14 I wrote this story about people like us, for people like us, and here's where I'm asking for the Power of Arfcom. I got a bit of backlash from one of my editors (who I fired) and one of my beta readers (who I also fired) because my book is 'too right-wing' and 'it's like an NRA wet dream'. Seriously? There's nothing political in this book, and WTF else would you expect from a zombie/alien/sci-fi/horror novel written about people who know how to take care of themselves?? Just trying to work up the nerve and have a few copies printed to sent off to the handful of publishers that still accept unsolicited manuscripts. But also thinking of just throwing it up on Amazon to see how it does. Everyone who reads it likes it... But of course it's my friends reading it. A buddy of mine says that many agents check out the free downloads on Amazon. FWIW. |
