They do not fly that fast, though that is a good shot with a camera. Depending on the charge you can watch the round, kind of like a M203. But if you take your eye off it, you won't see it again. Ahh! Get some! Time on Target! R(11A use to be 13B)M |
Hmmm.. 203s are only going 250fps or so. Interesting. I thought artillery would be going 1500 or so. |
Not real sure of the velocity, just know they are big enough and slow enough to see, if you try really hard. Same thing with handguns. Ever go to a range with lights or the sun behind you? You can sometimes see the round go down range because the light reflects off of the base. So you see a copper blur fly down range. It only works if you are not the shooter. |
its water, the purifying site was a good distance away, and they delivered it in blivits. the fuel was stored in blivits that were dug in. as to the projo capture, they are tavelign fast, but remember the thing is 155mm ib diameter and like 3 feet long. |
Oh, sure...you can even see 7.62s if the light is right and you're in the spotter's position. .45s are easy to see with the sun to your back. |

On numerous occasions I have seen bullets that I fired myself, but only when the conditions are right. When I was 13 I shot at a deer with a 30'06 and shot over its back by about 4 inches (these were down loaded 110 grn HPs recoil was almost non-existent) and I clearly saw the bullet as travelled over the deer and dissapeared into a large tree. I told my buddy, "dang I watched that bullet go just over his back!" He bust out laughing and told me I was an idiot, even when I showed him where the bullet hit, he didnt believe me, but 3 months later he shot at a coyote under similiar conditions with my 22-250 and we both clearly saw the bullet zip across the field and impact on the yotes shoulder. I am not certain why it is that occasionally you can actually see the bullet in flight. Those are really cool pics by the way |
