Watched “Moon” with Sam Rockwell last night.
It was very well acted – Rockwell is versatile to be sure. It dragged in a few parts, but that was to drive home how bored you’d be if you were stuck on the moon for 3 years! Solid story... Well acted... Great special effects, but the direction lacked something, and there was just in general a piece missing from the movie... It could have been a “hard” sci-fi flick but wasn’t. It could have been a little more terrifying (like "The Prestige") but unfortunately wasn’t. It is what it is, and that’s a very good acting performance from Sam Rockwell in an interesting role. Neat little twist ending, too. I can't say it's a thinking man's sci-fi movie because the plot was fairly obvious. 
I'd give this movie a 6/10. Watchable, and I'm glad I saw it because of Rockwell's acting. |
