I believe it was deleted at the author's request - something about being too hot a topic.

His closing was "good luck - see you guys in the ER / OR"

Dang,
I had just spent about ten minutes responding to some of the things that had been said since I was at my kids birthday party--I don't think that he ever understood what I was trying to say.

Thanks for the info. though--Maybe he will change his mind and we can continue our discussion--
I was enjoying it

I believe his message unfortunatly got lost in the delivery.

Heart seemed to be in the right place but ego seemed to get in the way.  Happens sometimes.

There was a thread in this section regarding tactical medics about 2 months ago.   I found a bunch of stuff from Tactical Response magazine and posted links in it.

I probably ought to pay the 20 bucks for a membership so I can search this section.

However after getting locked as Gutshot for an accidental double post I'll just spend the 20 on another 1000 primers.

Eat some turkey and watch some football.  Happy Thanksgiving.

I'm sure you are right, I just thought that we had a good debate going on.

Maybe next time we can finish it up.

Good Turkey to you

I think he was a little too thin skinned to understand that singing "I can do anything better than you can" to a bunch of guys who've been through the stuff most of us street grunts have (especially tac weens)  is gonna come across bad.

ETA - I have no doubt the guy's a whiz at what he does. Generally Trauma docs are good, or go into plastic work But pre hospital - especially Tactical PHCP - is a lot different... even from riding the box.

I do think his heart was in the right place, but it was like watching the newly minted  "butter bar" (2LT)  jump off the truck with his duffel and ask the 1SG if "my" men are ready to do some killing...
