is one of the most touching, raw emotional sports memories I have.  I grew up loving the Bulls.  Maybe it was because they were on WGN so I got to watch ever game.

But for those of you don't know the story, Michael Jordan's father was randomly killed, and they were very, very close.  This was the first title he won where his father wasn't there to congradulate him...not to mention it was on father's day.  I watched it live, and to this day, watching it has a deep effect on me.  I just figured I would share. This is a highlight of the whole game.

Yeah, just reading this almost brought a tear down my face. I remember his father, clean shaved head, 30'S paperboy style Kangol, powder blue outfit. A very polite gentleman. From what I recall his car broke down, then some scumbags recognized him or saw the rings . Killed him and were caught later.

I definitely remember this. It was very exciting to grow up in Illinois watching the Bulls at that time.

On an interesting note, I saw his plane at the airport yesterday. A NC colored Gulfstream IV

I loved MJ.  I have not watched one NBA game since 1998.

Enjoyed watching him play . Didn't really watch much basketball after that.
