I currently have State Farm and looking to increase my policy limits. Right now, I'll be paying $1600/year for this coverage.

My local independent agent quoted me Mercury Auto Insurance - they are providing the same level as State Farm, just at $1128/year if I pre-pay or $1231 if I pay every month. Pretty big change.

However, my concern is how good they are. What's GD's opinion?

Fwiw I googled Mercury Auto Insurance and they had decent reviews.
And one of the comparisons is they were cheaper by a couple of hundred dollars vs State Farm.

I did too - but you kind of take anonymous reviews on the internets with a grain of salt. Usually people are bitching about something silly.

I guess you could call your state insurance board and see if they have had complaints filed and if so were they handled.

But asking GD is easier.
