I have several, maybe 8, for my M9.  They function OK but there's an easily observable difference in quality between them and the factory Beretta mags.

If he has older Beretta OEM magazines then they're Mec-Gar.

Beretta is using Meccanica Del Sarca for their OEM magazines now. Beretta owns MDS.

Someday they're gonna make a steel AR mag with the finish they put on the "sand resistant" Beretta mags and it's gonna be a beautiful thing.

Thanks. I thought they were good, just rather hear for normal people that have used them and not a published review, ya know the whole "let's send them the absolute best node we have for their review."

I have Meg Gar Brand Magazines for my SIGs and SIG Branded  Mec Gar Magazines for the same pistols and there are some noticeable design differences in the magazine tubes, the finishes, and the base plates. Both are absolutely reliable though and IMO, are of he same quality.

My $95.00 SIG X-Five magazines with the special base plates, have only the Mec Gar Italy brand  stamped on them and  their tubes are of another design and finish from all the others; go figure.

Regular SIG or Mec Gar Magazines will work perfectly in the old style X Pistols, but in order for them to work in the new style X line, the baseplates need to be trimmed a bit due to slight changes in the magwell .

Mec Gar is also the OEM for the S&W M&Ps.

I like my Bersa Thunder.  It's been an accurate, fun little gun to shoot.

My pro mag magazine for it, now THAT is a POS.
