Are about to expire. Right now I have McAfee on 1 desktop and 2 laptop computers for $89.00 a year. I put this in the computer sub forum, but I guess it will see a little more traffic here. Thanks. |

LOL! I thought it was a fake video, but it really is John McAfee. He hates the McAfee brand now. In one video he tells the FBI to not search for Jimmy Hoffas body under the McAfee corperate headquarters. He said "its not there, I am serious, don't even look".

OK, now my cheap side comes out. Is there anything good and free? Bitdefender has a free version. Hasn't been updated for a while, but it still gets security patches. I would go with that. Alternatively: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2388652,00.asp |

I use windows defender, never had a virus. Free is my favorite price for things. Two things: First, you get what you pay for. Second, one of the hallmarks of a good virus is to never let you know your machine is infected. This is excellent advice for people that do not know how to computer. For those of us that do, any of em are as good as the other, as we are very very very very very unlikely to get an infection. |
