Any other fans here?  Maxim is probably the best magazine out there, lots of hot chicks, good articles, nice jokes, it fucking rules.  If anyone here hasn't read it, pick up a copy.

It used to be pretty good (or I was younger,) I think it has gotten silly, juvenile, and stupid. The girls are hot, every now and then they have a good article. But, overall, dumb. Really, really, dumb.
I got my sub for free untill like 2008, so I look at it, but wouldn't pay money.

I'd like to see a mag with good looking women, no political views, interesting/educational/well written articles, trends and fashion that do not involved $500 shirts-$1900 jackets-ect, and most of all... I want the info to be accurate.

I get Maxim,FHM and Stuff.... FREE, thanks to the good folks here on ARFCOM..

I wouldnt pay for them, too many ad's, not enough substance.  back in the day when they first started, they were good. Stuff was kick ass.

I do enjoy my free copies, just have to weed through the crap.

No, it's terrible.  It pushes crass materialism, products you dont need in order to establish yourself as "someone" in a phony empty lifestyle and conformity to that lifestyle. And if you're not in on their media/market driven lifestyle, you are somehow lacking or inferior. Maxim gives me the fucking creeps.

Playboy is pretty lame these days.  Yea pictures of naked chicks are nice, but for porn I'd rather download videos. Maxim is far superior when it comes to entertainment.

Until about a year ago...it was pretty good.  It had it's silly side, it's sexy side, and it did seem to pull out a decent amount of good insightful stories about things I hadn't heard about in the mainstream media from domestic to international issues.

Well, it has certainly pissed away that third point.

The amount of advertising pages per issue has exploded to the point of being ridiculous.

I have to agree with this. Half the damn magazine is advertisements for useless crap that you don't need and that will be obsolete in 6 months.
