I work in an office full of women. One of the younger girls got engaged over the weekend. The constant oohing and aahing by all the other women is going to drive me nuts. I have now heard how the proposal happened at least a half dozen times. And to make it worse, it is the girls birthday as well. I have my office door closed and I can still hear them. Help!! |

Wait till they start getting preggo! The last year at my last job I had to endure that hell. One girl who worked there got pregnant, then shortly after...the new managers wife did as well which pretty much meant he did too as she was completley incompetent. We were a small business so it was not uncommon for both the girl at work to call in "sick" (total drama llama!) and the manager (cuz his wife cant breath without him having to tell her how to do it. see also: useless). It really ticked alot of people off as the already heavy work load had to be further redistributed.
Both women milked it for all it was worth. If the one I worked with didnt feel like doing something...that was her excuse. That sealed the deal for me. A few months after both gave birth I turned in my 2 weeks. Ive never run across a bigger group of whiners. |
| I and my friends are in the mid 20's range and that is when it seems most people start getting serious about relationship and getting married. I know what you are talking about, women go nuts over someone getting engaged or married. Heck, you can just look at their facebook page, there will be about 20-30 comments and all from women... When one of my guy friends gets engaged and he mentions it, usually it is a 30 second conversation and that is it. |
