Just watched it for the first time in probably 15 or so years.

I forgot how corny, yet good it is.

Im gonna go buy The Road Warrior next.

We buy and sell used CD's where I work and somebody just sold us MINT copies of the original soundtracks for both Mad Max movies.

Mad Max was pretty cool for its day. I watched the un americanized one that showed in Austrailia recently and it was funny to hear all the accents. The one they show on tv here in the states has been re dubbed. Mel had a very thick accent back in the day.

Bought the Road Warrior/Beyond Thunderdome double-feature DVD a while back, and was amazed at how much better RW now seems than BT. In retrospect, BT could have been made by Disney (complete with Burger King action figures in the kiddie meals). RW was excellent.

Mad Max is the only film I've ever walked out on - and this was back when I wasn't choosy...

BTW, according to Wikipedia, a 4th installment in the series ("Mad Max 4: Fury Road") is in pre-production.
