For you infantry guys, how do you keep dirt and junk out of your M203 barrel? I have never seen a cover on one. It seems 40mm is a big opening for dirt to get in.

one time during a live fire I face planted into a berm, muzzel first, I shook it out and opened up on the chinamen.  No problems with the 203 or rifle.

M4's are actually pretty damn tough, the biggest problem I see is people who scrub the shit out of them but are scared to add any CLP because it pulls all the carbon.

no lube = jams.

The M203 is a perfect example of K.I.S.S.  There's not much too it, and about the only maintenance issue is the handguard coming unglued.
