[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Long threads

Anyone else just stop at page 1? Except picture threads, it seems after page 3 it just turns into a argument between 2-5 people. None of whom are willing to move on their position and results in stalemate, which usually degrades into personal attacks.

I typically read to the end of page 1, make a reply on something regarding a post on page 1... on page 73... then seagull out of there.

This. I'll see something I want to reply to on page one, realize there are 642 pages, and slowly back away.

Unless I foolishly get myself involved in those seemingly perpetual small circle arguments, I'll often just head straight to the last page of an "epic thread" and make my comment(s) there.
