But he had had COPD for a long time, and the medication the doctor put him on really messed him up. He died peacefully at home at least, probably heart just quit , and he passed out on the couch in the morning. Didn’t appear to be in pain, not covid at all. Although who knows what would’ve happened later? He was put on the list for a lung transplant just a week before, too, by a different doctor. Hopefully LarryG went easy too I remembered the name here, but I associate almost everyone here with their avatar |

I met him once at a GA Arf shoot at least 15yrs ago. What a nice guy. He let me shoot one of his garands and it broke. He was very gracious about it. He also brought his collection or Armalite AR-18’s and I got to shoot an original and compare it to the then new B model. |
