Doesn't prevent identity theft, apparently. In my recent experience. Some sorry bastard has complicated my life.
Recommended reading: http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/features/feature-0014-identity-theft . I have never used the credit reporting agencies or asked for a credit report. I'm about to change that. |
