I will soon be in the market for a range finder. I am looking to spend no more than 250 dollars. Are there some accurate range finders for that price? I want to be able to make SURE my zeroed rifles are precise, and for precision shooting.

I have a Lecia and a Leupold and my Leupold is better by far, it reads far quicker and I have found the Lecia does not always read if there isnt enough reflection where the Leupold will, the Leupold will range smaller objects is what I mean.  They both are accurate and read the same until the object gets to small where the Lecia just wont give any measurement.

I have a Bushnell, goes to 800yds. I don't know the model # off the top of my head.

My only complaint is the glass isn't too clear, but I have nothing to compare it too either. Other than that, it's been in a small drizzle, cold, heat, and still worked fine.

Paid $199 for it a couple years ago.

Look at the Midway USA site for laser range finder evaluations by actual customers.  Then look at Natchez Shooters Supply.

You will find rangefinders for $250 delivered.

You aren't going to find a quality unit for that price.

The "range" is dependent upon lighting conditions.  Years ago, I took an inexpensive Bushnell and put it up against a foreign name brand that cost about 3 times as much.  The other guy obtained a couple hundred yards of additional distance.
