Quoted: So I bought about 12 Feit brand from costco about 6 months ago. Well one in the bathroom kinda works now. I have to screw it in just perfect and fiddle with it to work. Well Pretty sure that means its bad. None of the others do it and it does it in every fixture. So anyone use this brand with good luck or should I only buy cree? I've never had much luck with the CF bulbs Feit makes. I would stick with Cree.. |

CREE. where if you tweak them just right they work? Also did you leave them in or just take them out? |

If you're tweaking them either something is loose in the bulb or the fixture is munged. its the only bulb that does it and I have tried it in multiple fixtures. I've had the same issue with them, Costco treated me well. If I wasn't renting I would go Cree, but for a rental property it's hard to beat Costco's prices. |

Are there variable watt bulbs from CREE that don't hum? I run almost all of my Crees on dimmers. I use the CR6 can light bulbs and the A19 replacements (65w, 75w and 100w equivalents). Great dimming performance, great warm white color, no hum. The only fixtures I have that generate line noise are standard T8 flourescents. |

Newsflash! Things break. Even electronic things. Then you replace them. Don't make this harder than it needs to be. Buy another bale of TP while you are there. Jeez....
Why is it so hard to use Costco's return policy? They really do want you to be happy; if not you may stop paying them the yearly tithe. |

Double check the socket. I was having problems with 1 new Cree LED bulb = it would flicker and turn off but when I touched it, it stayed on. These fixtures were from the 50's/60s. I removed the fixture to check the wiring = the old socket wires were very tarnished and barely hanging on by only a few strands. I found new replacement sockets at Lowes for about $1.30 each. No more problems with these rebuilt lights. |
