Both.
It is a great book, and surprisingly, they managed to make a pretty damn good movie out of it. |

I read the book years ago. Was Segel the king in the movie? Good choice!

house by the same author. all excellant. |

Very Good Book, keep waiting for AMC or TBS to run the movie.
Wasn't King Rat played by "Hangfire" in the movie? |

I've read all of James Clavell books up to Whirlwind which was my 2nd favorite, Shogun being the first, but they were all good up until he ran out of a timeline and tried to jump back into the Japanese history again after Whirlwind.
