Anyone have thoughts on the Kanger Subox Mini kit? I'm really thinking about getting one and am researching it....comparisons to other setups would be nice.

For background info, my current setups are a Smok M80+ with an Artic tank running .2 ohm coils, Vapor Shark DNA30 with a Kanger Subtank Nano running 1.2 ohm coils, and an Ego ONE with a another Subtank Nano running .5 ohm coils. These setups work well for the juices that I am currently using.

The reason that I am on the hunt for another tank is because I like different juices and haven't found an all day vape yet. Reason for another mod, well I dig the Vapor Shark over the Smok, but I like the display and buttons on the side rather than on the bottom. Reason for the Subox Mini....I like Kanger tanks, and since I have plenty of spare coils for the two tanks I already have, I figure that this is a win/win for what I want.

But before I drop the money, I am curious about what others have to say about this setup (otherwise its a DNA40 with the new Kanger tank which costs more).

I've had one for about two weeks now and while I haven't switched between the different types of coils yet all of the options are there.  I have the white one and it is strikingly different from other options, I do have a small chip at the base of the battery cover.  My only gripe and I don't know if any other boxes offer this is that voltage display only shows during firing.  Once you let off the button it zeros out leaving just the watts and resistance of the head.  It offers a lot for the money and if you can find it still available at the pre - release price all the better.

I've seen the precursor and I think this one is much better for the money.  You can even charge on the fly if you get caught out without a  spare battery.  It has some heft to it and by size and weight I'd equate it to 2 rolls of quarters taped together end to end.  For my first unit I don't think that I could have been any closer to greatness straight out of the gate.  Buy with confidence, and happy 4th of July!

You may also want to check out the MVP 3 Pro.  It has a built in battery but I don't know if you see that as a pro or con.  6-60 watts and will fire down to .2 ohms.

I have an original MVP 3 and have been looking at getting something new.  I like the Subox but I really like not having to keep up with batteries now.

Funny you make a thread about this. I just ordered one of these kits today from elev8vape. Got it for 56 bucks.  It's replacing a Hana box 30 watt that has a bad charging port. Reviews on it have been really good, so I figured at that price point, I can't go wrong

Sale on these now at vapor authority. Also Check out the new joy tech VT 60 watt.  Battery lasts forever.  And the subtank mini tanks are awesome.  Just buy some 26 gauge nickel wire and Japanese cotton with your tank.  But better like lung hits with the subtanks

The Suboxmini is not my last, I have a wood chery bomber clone inbound with a tugboat clone.  They use the same battery and since adding a niteforce charger to the mix I can't see me going wrong.  I can't say enough about this charger, 4 slots and "multiple" batteries to be charged.  Goodby surefire cr123's! i.e. multitasker, blew my $15 AA duracell charger out of the water and charges multiple battereies.

No wattage after replacing a atty, wake up (3 min unused) turning on. Sounds like you should be gtg if you are above 20 .  The real consern is if you throw a nautilus or a kayfun on it. Tosty wicks and juice.

Thanks for the info and I went ahead and ordered the black one last night (with two batteries, a charger and some juice from Vista Voprs.....used their 15% off code to boot). It sounds like this is a great mod/tank combo and since I already use Kanger subtanks, it makes sense.

As far as voltage only showing on the display during firing, this is normal. My SMOK M80 and Vapor Shark DNA30 do this as well. Basically, you can think of the display as both a multimeter and an expensive calculator running a simple program for Ohms Law. The display gives you the missing number (in case volts) when the circuit is in use (under power). I can go into more detail, but yours eyes might glaze over if your not into electronics and circuit design/building (no offense intended :-)).

My rDNA 40,  and DNA30, both do this. My IPV doesn't though.

Congratulations, I hope that you end up liking it as much as I  do.  My tugboat and box mod arrived today and it will be fun to play with.  I like that I'll be able to jump from flavor to flavor quickly and work on ridiculous clouds with it.  The subtank is no slouch but it's  more of a set it and forget it piece of kit better suited for all day or a long session.

Well, I am more of a set it and forget type of guy right now. The two VV/VW mods that I currently have are set for what tastes the best and gives me the desired throat hit depending on the tank, juice, coil combo I happen to be using at the time. I am not a cloud chaser really, but after switching to vaping from smoking three weeks ago, I am disappointed when the cloud is small. The Ego One is set up in the same fashion.

For the hell of it I ended up ordering a Sigelei 50W VR2, an iStick 30W, and a Kanger SubTank Mini (as well as more batteries and some battery cases) as well from another vendor due to a discount coupon that I was sent. I like having the mods on hand for backups and having extra tanks on hand for different juices is always a plus.

I'm interested in that Cherry Bomber mech clone that you got. I've been eyeballing a mech mod/dripper setup but I'm not sure that I would gain much over what I have (and what is coming) as I vape while I drive to and from work, on breaks (if and when I can get one), and at home at my desk or outside. So dripping isn't something I think is for me and how I vape.

I swear, this is the cheapest hobby that I have and I'm saving big time over not buying cigarettes.....but it's just as addictive as everything else!!

Forgot to add....I also have an MVP 3.0 Pro coming with yet another Kanger SubTank Mini from another place. On the hunt for the mod for me!! But I have certainly fell all in for the Kanger SubTank line......at least for now!!

So far, the Sub tank mini, and the mod itself are working quite well.

I ordered the black one which will be my Darth Vader Mod. I like the white but am curious as to how the paint/coating will handle dirt, stains, nicks, and scratches. If I like the black one then I will order the white (it is pretty sweet looking).

Out of curiosity, do you have any experience with the other Kanger subohm tanks (plus, mini, nano) and if you do, how does the new one compare to them? I'm running a pair of Nanos now, have three Minis on the way, and am curious about the new one included with the Subox Mini. I'll find out for myself in a few days but reviews are far and few between since these are all very new products.

Mine is set to arrive tomorrow (along with some other stuff) and I have a battery charging for it now. Really looking forward to it.

If this is your only Kanger tank, I recommend at looking at the other Subtanks in the line (I have no experience with the Aero line). I have a pair of Nanos, a Mini in front of me, and two more Minis and a Plus currently in the mail. So far, I have had no issues with leaking, the air intake and clouds are great, and the Subtank coils work across the entire line. For now, the Kanger Subtank line is my preferred tank.

I took advantage of too many 4th of July sales and more than doubled by number of tanks and mods.....plus a bunch of juices. On the hunt for my perfect all day vape.....

So the Subox Mini arrived today and I have to say that Kangertech made one hell of a great 50W mod! After a few hours of vaping and walking around with it, I'm pretty sure that this will become one of my go to everyday rigs. Time will tell of course....but so far I am very pleased with this setup.

Good to hear, I think this is well thought out kit and will likely be copied far and wide as it just plain works.  Now your only problem is how soon will you find yourself adding the white one to your stable and then choosing your favorite between them.

Hahaha....I hear you! I really don't have a need for yet another setup (I bought too many this week!!) but the white one looks great! I am already thinking about ordering it......plus I just got a 20% + expedited shipping coupon in my inbox today from a site.....hmmmmmm.........

Received mine on Thursday. My previous setup is a Hana box with a squape reloaded rta. I am loving this setup. My old setup was huge. This thing is tiny in comparison. Love the size. Love the magnetic battery cover. Great flavor. The rba is stupid easy to build on. Airflow is solid. Can't say enough good things about this. Plus the black and red looks sick

Of the three mini devices that I have on my desk right now (Subox, iStick 30, and Vapor Shark DNA30) this one is quickly becoming my favorite for pocket carry. Although I've only had the Subox for a day, the iStick for two, and the VaporShark for about two weeks or so, only time will tell as to which one will become the daily pocket carry mod. I also have an eGo ONE, which is good for its own reasons, but I don't care much for stick mods and like the control I have over the box mods.

I also have bigger mods (Smok M80 XPro (my first), Sigelei 50W, MVP 3.0, with a MVP 3.0 Pro on the way). These all serve their purpose and I have yet to figure out which one I like the best.

BTW.....I'm already finding myself wanting the white Subox!!!

My GF just got one last week.  She loves it, and I do, too.  Nice size, not too big.  Definitely one of the smallest 50 watt mods out right now.

There is already a V2 in the works that should be coming out shortly that addresses the biggest complaint about it; no adjustable 510 connection.

Sort of.  But all Ive bought during my time off, was a Kayfun V4 clone, Subtank Mini, Subtank Plus, a $20 drip tip and of course juice.  But I also won that Cloupor Mini, and a couple hundred ml of juice from a handful of giveaways on Reddit.

The Cloupor Mini has a bad rep, due to meltdowns in the early models.  Mine has been 100% since I won it in March, though (granted, I dont use the USB charging). Dropped it a million times and it keeps on going.

Now Im eyeballing the Sigelei 75 watt temp control mod.  For $60ish, seems like a cheap way to get into TC.  Looks sexy, too.
