[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Is this a true Operator? (Page 1 of 4)
TNVC is great and a forum sponsor. I'll be ordering a ITT Night Enforcer here in a couple of weeks hopefully
other than his extra Aimpoint on the side mount why wouldn't a real operator carry most of that stuff? sure maybe the gas mask wouldn't be worn unless it was mission specific but I'm pretty sure they get issued those from time to time. |

It's not a slam, but I'm curious with all this stuff - how realistic is it?

Hey, don't make fun of him, he's got his elbow tucked in. He's a serious guy. |

you guys are weird....talking shit about a guy sporting the absolutely most effective combat gear to date. If the shtf, I would bet on the guy in the ad. Not the shit talkers. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3249/2867253326_792146d6e7.jpg shit talkers in this thread:

Looks like the story board for Special Operations and 'he' is playing the part of Whiskey Whiskey...
Then someone in the meeting suggested they put the camera on the rifle instead of on his freakin head! Basically, saving the show...for now. Unless the opfor is going to get him at least one time, the show won't live long. |

WTF is with the Aimpoint Micro canted on the side of the hand guard? Its reflective lens kinda defeats the purpose of the Kill Flash on the ACOG doesn't it? B_S MURLM a mount for light and micro.. The cant is to be able to peer around your main sight without having to remove your magnified weapon sight when you are clearing a dwelling..OR if you have on a gas mask and holding the rifle canted because you can't use your sights correctly with it on .. Such as if after you have engaged targets from a distance, you give chase and they are on the run, entered a dwelling or vehicle, behind a berm,in a canal or revetments .. Sights stay on zero and you don't break contact changing sights.. It is basically a back up sight for different types of work.. Operator?...I doubt the company keeps one on staff for photo advertisments..Now in R&D..Yes quite possible.. |
