If you're using Internet Exploder then Backspace goes back and shift+Backspace goes forward. Does not apply if you are in a text editing field.

np, glad to help. but for future reference, just tool around in the dropdown menus for a second or two and you'll usually find the hotkeys you're looking for. i mean, i didn't know the answer when you asked, but 3 seconds later i did. maybe i'm just a computer nerd. no, a computer nerd would have said, "RTFM" all huffy and stormed out of the room.

my good lord, ms is into over-engineering their products. who needs two hotkeys for the same task?

The KB key says glock on it.

You can also right click and there's "back" and "forward" commands in that menu.
