The European liberals see Israel as an oppressive apartheid state.
Europe is filling up with Muslims who don't like Israel. The influx of 3rd worlders into this country seem to be apathetic, or at best ignorant of the holocaust and Israel. Christianity appears to be on the downswing in America with liberalism and political correctness taking its place, along with apathy/anger towards Israel (i.e. the bulldozer chick). The way we are over-stretched now, economic problems looming, social security, national debt, military cutbacks, possible dollar collapse and so forth... will we still be able to protect them in the coming decades? Would India or Russia protect them? They are a tiny country completely surrounded by enemies and terrorists. Personally I can't see Israel lasting more than 50 years longer. What are your bets? |

I'm not comfortable with the idea that just about all the principles involved in any future Israel has are basing their decisions on prophecy of one sort or another.
If anything is going to cause a real global shitstorm, it's the certain knowledge of the outcome. Sooner or later TSWHTF and the Israelis won't go quietly. They are a nuclear superpower, in a really terrible strategic position. |

I am not a biblical scholar, so I am not sure, but I don't recall reading that portion. Could you quote those parts, I surely missed it. |
| I prefer to use Nostradamus as my vision of the future as opposed to some book thats been written and rewritten by hundreds of people. Occasionally though I just use bones and dice. I figure its just as accurate. |

Well, obviously you need to practice the ancient and noble art of haruspication if you want the REAL scoop, but Nostradamus and Bible Eschatology are also pretty darned accurate, as is the Magic 8-Ball. Israel is doomed for the exact same reason than Europe is doomed according to many of you...
––-> Demography. Some differences: _They are only 7 millions. _ 20% of them are arabs. _Their neighbors are not quite as friendly than let's say Monaco or Luxembourg. _ Their army is mainly US-funded. |

If demographics is destiny, then Israel has no future as a Jewish Democracy.
It will have to choose one or the other eventually. Best solution is probably a two-state compromise with the Palestinians, but it will by no means be easy, and no one can have everything they want. Religious prophesy voodoo needs to be kept as far from real-life politics as humanly possible. |

Don't know about Israel but Mecca better watch out. Catch them at prayer time (which ever one, can't keep them straight) with their asses pointing west and give them an atomic enema. I would not be surprised in the least to see Mecca get slagged if Israel really did start to go down. |
