I stumbled upon this SRS show and watched it. I won't try to summarize all of the details but the overall theme when he talks about his Navy career is: When he was on the teams he got sent to all of the cool schools because the unit leadership knew he would pass. He revolutionized methods that they used for various things and SEALS that go to SEAL school today will be taught methods that he devised. He was part of various high speed teams and never had to try out for any of them. He was recruited by them. Story after story of him being great without really trying. Shawn never calls him on anything. That could be because 1) Shawn never calls anybody on anything. He just nods and says, "No shit." or 2) It could be because, even though both of them are SEALS, this guy worked on a different level than Shawn. This guy is obviously a nutjob but is he full of crap about all of the things he says he did during his Navy career? He was a SEAL. But did he do all of the stuff he talks about and do it the way that makes him sound so great? If not, why has nobody called him out? He believes the things that he says when he says them. If it actually happened... Who knows. Dude is definitely a taco short of a combo meal, but I believe he is too far gone to feel pain; therefore dangerous. The best way to deal with him is to avoid him. |

I've heard some of his ramblings on SRS. He seems delusional. Maybe it's an act. Maybe he's on a secret mission. Who knows. |

| Even during the height of the great war on terror there are seals who never actually saw combat. It’s possible everything he says is 100% truth but it’s also possible he’s lying thru his teeth. Seals are good at calling other Seals out for lying about their accomplishments…Especially when they try and make a name for themselves from those lies. 15 years ago Brandon Web was everywhere blowing the bugle about his accomplishments in the Seal Teams. He had a very popular podcast and book. Then it was discovered that he never even deployed to a war zone. He disappeared overnight. |

He believes that it happened the way he talks about it but that is probably not reality. But why hasn't somebody called him out? Maybe because they feel sorry for him. Maybe because he did some cool shit but not everything the way he describes it and the only way to call him out would be saying you were on such-and-such team and he is full of crap which would involve talking about the stuff you did on the actual team. He had mental issues before he was on the teams, and then went and got a career full of TBIs. A lot of what he says is probably the truth as his mind happens to see it. He also talked about a few things without getting into details that he probably shouldn’t have mentioned. |

You wanna see some really crazy shit, go look at his social media now. He's got an instagram page where he rambles about stuff. Cheese slid all the way off the poor guy's cracker. Like he's far, far FAR crazier than anything you see on the SRS podcast. Like someone else said, I think he's just a walking example of what TBIs can do to people. As far as his professional life, dude was a fucking stud and has the creds to back up a lot of his claims. |

Rumor has it that various entities have standard rewards for people within specific military units, and large rewards for specific people within those units who are thought to have done certain things. If this dude is pumping counterintelligence into the Internet, well ...... whatever. |

It may have just been that one guy in particular. An ex of my wife’s friend. The SEAL I worked with was a solid and kind guy. Work can be overwhelming sometimes and he didn’t let it get to him. He barely spoke and I never heard him say anything negative. There was some reason for the dislike and for whatever reason I think I’m forgetting something important. My brain is broken. |

Its really hard to know because dudes with a type A personality like to talk themselves up. Big time. Especially when reliving the glory days. They are blowhards. You'll see it in veterans, police officers, athletes, and even high level business executives. I'm extremely skeptical of the podcasters and 'podcast guests' and the stories they tell. With veterans its especially hard to call them on their shit because if you aren't a veteran yourself and you didn't serve with them/know guys who served with them its just hard to know for sure.
