| I just found out that my sister in law will not let me watch her kids because there's guns in the house. I think next time they want my wife to bring the kids over I'll say I don't trust your pit bull around my kids. That's it for me I'll never go to their house again. |

As time goes on my inlaws are shifting their positions to mine.
This year alone I've had cousins and uncles I have not spoken to in years call me and ask my opinion about "buying a gun". Twenty years ago my father and I were the "gun totin' redneck hillbilly black sheep"... now we are the sages guiding others on the path. |

My in-laws know I'm always armed. Whether they like it or not, they accept it, because they love their daughter, and she chose to marry me; as such, it's never been an issue.
Some of her extended family... I just don't talk about it. What they don't know won't hurt them.

Good response. I like pitbulls alright, but that's a really good equivalency. Plus, it'll probably hit her pretty hard cause pit bull owners tend to be a little fanatic ![]() Not at all equivalent, dogs can (and have) gone off with no warning. Firearms need a human to pull the trigger. |

I watch both my kids everyday. I really shouldn't say watch because I'm raising them, but yeah I like to socialize my kids with others. When my kids socialize, the parents want to talk guns and that includes the women. You are doing it wrong and I have gotten a few into ccw and guns since they realise the first line if defense in the home is the home owner. But yes my I laws are anti tards but the first thing they say is we are coming there if shtf, I say bring guns and ammo or you can't come.

When I got my Thompson model 1928, I was just looking at it and enjoying the classic look of it. My MIL walked by and said 'That looks wicked and ugly.' I gave her a look of pure disdain and hate and she said 'I can just keep my opinion to myself?' I said 'No, I was thinking - Look who's talking.' That's not the primary reason I hate the old bitch but it sure added to it. |

Um, first world problems? I have great relationships with my soon to be in laws. why do people keep writing that? is it supposed to mean that you should not mention a problem unless it has to do with the basics of survival? or does it mean that your problems don't matter because people in Africa are starving? |
