I'm looking to get a navigator..What say the hivemind for $300.00 or so.

The most Garmin Nuvi you can afford.

Garmin Nuvi. The more $ you spend the more bells and whistles you will get.
The basic GPS receiver and street database is the same in all the Nuvi's. The only
thing you are paying extra for is the bells and whistles that you want or need such as
bluetooth, subscription traffic updates, voice conversion of street names vs turn right, different voices, etc.

I love my Nuvi 200. Good unit.

I have a fairly basic tomtom and the thing is awesome.
Got it as a gift, didnt think I would ever use it, now I dont know why I didnt buy one sooner.

+1 on the Garmin Nuvi. My Fiance and I have one of the base model ones and it is still great. I was like many others saying it would be a headache, but its nice.

I just got the Garmin Nuvi 255W for $199 at Radio Shack.

Damn thing works pretty good...I'm impressed...It even had the trails in the Citrus Tract WMA on it.

I bought a Garmin Nuvi 200 for about $150 from Wally World.

Point and click simple, totally idiot proof, accurate, no muss, no fuss. Garmin, FTW.
