If they were to start with the original cast and writers right now, they would get shut down for hate speech, and racial stereotypes.
Call me goofy, but as time has progressed, this country has gotten to be more racially polarized in the last 20 years, and almost entirely due to the efforts of the left. Damn shame. ILC forced an opening in the dialogue between races, because they lampooned every stereotype, and everyone was so busy laughing nobody could get Butthurt. That sorta shit wouldn't fly today. The Trotskyists would come unglued. |

I remember when ILC started and everyone loved it. I you did those shows today they'd be boycotted and canceled, and no one would be satisfied until those involved gave public apologies and their careers were ruined. Still, they lampooned West Indians' work ethic while poking fun at American laziness- I'd never seen that before on TV.
And they still lampooned the world of safe PC.....
....and treated mixed race relationships as a given....
