| I think I may be a victim of Identity theft. Last night I get a phone call saying we have $150 for reward for the dog we found. What are you talking about I didn't find any dog, and hang up. 20 min later another call about the same dog asking me if I used to live at a certain address and now live at this current one. I am now thinking bill collector so I hang up. Half hour later the police show up(3 of them), and ask where is the dog. I don't have no dog. They come in and search, find no dog no dog food, not even dog shit in the back yard. I am then asked if I have this cell phone number. I say I used to a couple years ago when I lived at another address( The one I was quoted on the phone earlier). They tell me iit is linked to my current phone number, and they are gonna turn this matter over to the detectives. If I have the dog or have been calling the owner telling them I want 300 to return the dog I am in big trouble. |

You think that they would have attempted to make contact with whoever has your old cell number. Sounds like he might be a dog thief/opportunist at the least. Wonder if your cell number did get legitimately issued to someone else though, but it's still linked to you. |
