What are some good ideas for a fun first date? NO DINNER & A MOVIE, that's too boring/bland. No shooting on the first date. This girl has shown some interest in going shooting, but I won't do bring her shooting until sometime later... She's got to learn safety basics first. I want to do something fun, and preferrably something where we will have time to talk & get to know each other better. Bars are out of the question because she's 19... (AND A HOTTIE) She's an archery & fencing enthusiast... Meaning she likes weapons, but we would rather get to know one another before we go out shooting together... I live in Minneapolis, MN. If anyone knows fun things to do here... Toss out some ideas of what you guys do on first dates... (keep it clean, I don't want to hear comments stating I should do a "tony danza" on a first date... )Try to think of ideas that would fit in ONE of the following categories: ROMANTIC COMEDIC/FUNNY DANCING/JAZZ/MUSIC ART or HISTORY BASED STRANGE/UNIQUE Example. Going to the Museum of Questionable Medical Devices would fit the Strange/Unique category and would be a possibility... (though it's unlikely that I'd take her there on a 1st date) Cost should be under $100 for the whole night's events. Personally I'd just love to find a good jazz club/bar where we could hang out, talk, and dance... However the best one in the city closed a year ago. |

… I can talk to this! … I’ve recently taken up the art form of on-line dating. First dates can be very awkward for her. Make it work to your advantage. … Inconspicuously, find out her interests. Does she drink, dance or like a particular ethic food. Find out where she roughly lives. What kind of music does she listen to? You get the idea. … Next step: Research. Find out which places near her home plays the music she likes, serves the wine she favors. Again, you see the pattern. Most likely, it’s a place she’s been to and if comfortable meeting with you there. … Nothing impresses your prospective date more coddling to her needs. Just don’t forget the prophylactics in the wallet! |
Still, make sure you weave in who YOU are as well.... If you are considering a potential long term here, she has to understand what you are in to... However, that could come in later dates, but it might also cut through some BS. My wife & I's 1st date was at a Motorcycle Convention in Baltimore.... Chicks dig bikes... hehe. |
Tony Danza - a takeoff of the donkey punch is called the Tony Danza. When you are about to cum while doing a girl from behind, you say "who's the boss?" and stick it in her ass. Before she says anything you shout "TONY DANZA!" and punch her in the back of the head. Much more |
I said KEEP IT CLEAN, give me some decent ideas... I specifically said NO TONY DANZA TYPE COMMENTS! Jeez... You guys...PS. I know she's into: Archery Swimming Fishing Canoeing Camping Fencing (foil fencing) Italian Food Irish Folk/Rock Music |

I tried IMing you back...but I'm not sure if you got it. Sending IMs doesn't seem to be working at the moment. But, here's what I said: As a 19 year-old female myself, I think comedy clubs are always a good choice. You really learn a lot about a person by paying attention to what they laugh at...and what they find offensive. Especially since a lot of comics do political commentary. Then, you will know what topics are off-limits. Hope it goes well! |

Rent a hotel room and fill it with porn, alcohol, and sex toys. Blind fold her and then help her into the room. Once inside tell her to keep the blind fold on. You hurrily get naked and then tell her to take of the blind fold. When she takes off the blind fold yell "I'm Rick James bitch! Show me your titties." and go from there. |

Dont know how feasible this is in your area... by the sound of it she is a really outdoors type girl, could you take her on a hike and have a picnic? that sould fit in the unique category. -Derek (P.S. my girlfriend loves the outdoors, canoeing, etc. and loves hiking. worth a shot) |
Seriously? I will have to remember that.

I agree... but, it's much, much worse over here: www.glocktalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=242281 Be afraid!!!! |
Duck and cover.Good advice though. I'll add that you need to start probing the politics pretty soon and figure out if you're wasting time or not. Some girls will pretend to like your politics cause they like you, so watch out for that too. I read the entire dirtionary about 4 years ago. It appears to have grown since then. This is the funniest thread I've read in a long time. |
oh i havent dated in a while so i forgot this one. this one is good. |
Hey Inuh, take her down to the Zoo in Egan, then up to Murrays for a great steak |
If the atvantage you are working on is not bedding this filly on the first date, you are very new to "on-line dating" and should not be "talking to this!" |
... Dude, at my age, the third or forth is a reasonable target |

Sherrick & DPMMN, great ideas, but it's going to be a night date. The Minnesota Zoo is closed in the evenings if I remember correctly. Any other ideas? So far I'm thinking of dinner at a nice restaurant, and then taking her to ACME Comedy Club in downtown MPLS for a show. It's only $12/person, and this saturday there's a 2hr show from a comedian who has been on Comedy Central's standup, and also on the David Letterman show. What could be a different idea incase she doesn't like the idea? Any help is appreciated! |

Nope... This is NOT an internet date. I've met this girl about 4 months ago and I've always just considered her as a friend until last weekend! She made some comments that were *REALLY BLUNT* that I finally clued into... This will be strange for me because I always found her attractive, but never thought she liked me more than just friends. This is news to me that she liked me this way all this time! I like her a lot and know she has potential to be a good long-term GF with many of the same interests as me... Oh, BTW, I met her because she tried out for the fencing team I'm on, and it all went from there... This girl knows how to use weapons pretty well (Foil/Rapier, and Bow & Arrow). She's interested in learning to shoot guns too. Don't know her political views though. Edited to add: BASTIAT, She's not the "inflatable" type. But I suppose it would elevate her spirits if I did use my mouth & tongue for something... |
|
I would say ignore everyone who says try to get her in bed, but then again I'm an old-fasioned moral person. Here's a no-brainer: Don't try to "impress" her. If you have to do that for her to like you, the relationship has no chance. Fakery makes a lousy foundation. |

If you are willing to bring her to your place... or to carry the shi to her place... cook her dinner. Has worked for me a number of time. Ge.... a number of time... guess that means the dates didn't go very far... huh? I'm sure it wasn't my cooking though. Chicks dig a guy who can cook and clean up the mess. What's wrong with shooting on a first date. You could cook a meal for her on the engine block of your car while plinking. Now that's romantic! Go somewhere that take a little bit of a drive to get to... then you can talk, listen to music, make games of looking at people in other cars or something... Man.. that's the best I can come up with? I've got NO game!!! EDIT: Future responses from -Absolut- - Bake her a pie - find out if she knows how to bake pie - take her out for pie - why do you need a girlfriend when you can have pie take it from here -Absolut-

Horseback riding. Take her to a petshop... and if you have your own place let hr pick out a pet for you. It'll be like it's your pet... as in both of you. Plus you'll have more reason to bring her to your place. Skydiving? Canoeing? Old Time Photos? Ice Skating? Any beer factories in your area... she can probably get away with accepting free samples from those sort of places... I doubt they card. |
