I screwed something up.

I am running Firefox.  Was talking with the wife, and held the shift key down for too long.  A window popped up, and I hit cancel.

Now, if I hit a link, it opens a new Browser.  If I hit the Firefox Icon on my desktop, it opens Explorer, and my wheel on my mouse toggles between Browser pages that are open.

I checked, and my settings for tabbed browsing are still set the way I left them.

Help, please

That happens to me sometimes at work, I think it puts windows into handicap mode for disabled folks.

I just reboot and it is back to normal for me.

make a backup of your bookmarks, "bookmarks->organize bookmarks->import and backup->backup-> save the .json to your desktop"

download firefox 3.5

uninstall firefox, do not save profiles if it asks

reboot

install the firefox you downloaded

restore your bookmarks in the same way you backed them up

done

Well, it stopped doing it.  All has returned to normal.

Go figure.

I rebooted twice, running spybot between reboots.  Just after I posted this, it went back to the way it is supposed to be.  Weird.

Thanks anyways.

Sounds like you accidentally enabled stickykeys. If it happens again go to Control Panel -> Accessibility Options and turn off StickyKeys.
