...sometimes I just wish certain applications were real people so I could beat the ever-living HELL out of them. Celtx, an open-source program for writing screenplays using the format as set forth by the motion picture industry (and if you don't use their format, you will have an even lower chance of ever selling your script). So, since I lack the time to do the formatting in a word processing program and the money to buy a professional program, I download it. Bad decision. I save (yes, I save, I made sure of it, and even checked the output file to be sure) the latest version of my work (at 12 pages now), and when I reopen it this afternoon, it's deleted the last four pages. A third of what I'd written, most of which I'm having trouble remembering. Fuck Celtx and fuck stupid fucking programmers who can't fucking bother to debug for this shit! Yeah, it's only four pages lost, but four pages can be a shitload! Fuck! |
