Now that I have your attention, I don't really hate spam.  I hate one thing about it.

Trying to get that first slice out of the can.  Every time I do it, it breaks into a million pieces and is thus unsuitable for spamwiches or spamburgers.

Any other foods you love, but don't come without annoyances?

Squeeze the can diagonally and drop the whole thing out on a plate... signed JPL

Explain "first slice".

I usually open the can, squeeze it until it makes that popping sound, and then dump the entire brick out.

That's too fancy schmancy for me.

ETA:

If you slice all the slices in the can you can generally remove a slice from the middle by using a couple forks or something similar so you are grabbing the slice on both sides.

I prefer to dump it out onto a paper towel and clean off the jelly and cut it up and then any leftovers go in a sammich bag.

Take the top off the can, turn the can over, stab it with a knife, and blow into the hole.  The entire chunk of goodness will slide out.
