Just pass right over it like you didn't even hear it.

"I love you..."
"You gonna have the soup or salad? I can't make my mind up."

Yeah, and if you say "I really care about you, too" or something, she already knows....

Difficult one ..... suck it up and be honest.

Just fake a seizure when asked.

You might try being super positive and give her a hug and say "I really like how things are progressing too" unless you don't.

I'm of the be honest. She already knows.

Yikes.

Lighten up.
It was a comment made in jest.

If something like this happens in a relationship, it would need to be addressed.

This reminds me of something my son told me the other day. His friend was basically asking him the same thing and my son jokingly told him to say "yeah, I like you too". The guy actually said that the next time his girlfriend said "I love you" and boy was she ticked! Note - these are high school seniors.

Just be honest. For God's sake, do not say it if you don't mean it! I usually just smile or say "I know you do" and change the subject.

say

"thanks"

or, if you prefer NOT getting the snot slapped out of you, say:

"i'm glad to hear that" and give her a big hug

personally, i'd say "i love you too", get as much sex as possible and then later blame my outburst on incorrect dosage of meds.

Well, make sure she's unarmed..

Then turn it into a joke.

Or ask for a refill of your current beverage.

She already knows if you didn't reciprocate the sentiment.... Just move on... If she asks you, try to explain it without insulting her..... (some guys aren't good at that)

Yes. Simply say "Thank you".

She'll get the message crystal clear.

If she wigs out if you don't reciprocate then she is a weirdo. Love is something that is felt individually. It's nice when you get it back when you feel it, but you should never "expect" another person - who is their own being - to feel the same feelings for you that you feel for them.

It's a wonderful thing that happens when a person can give love without expecting it back. That, in itself, is true love.

My suggestion is not to ignore her statement, but to take it as a compliment of her feelings for you, and at least acknowledge it to whatever level you can, even if you think it's something you think she wouldn't want to hear.

To ignore her feelings would be just plain rude. Her expecting you to feel the same is also rude.

Just say "Ditto".

You didn't say it "I love you too" but then it will confuse her long enough to change the subject.
