Neighborhoods in the region decided to reschedule trick-or-treating to Friday?  Rain/storms predicted for Saturday have prompted many neighborhoods to have the annual kid's sugar fest on Friday night.  My dumbass parish council has NEVER deviated from officially designating trick-or-treating as taking place on 10/31.  Just so happens this year 10/31 will be a day of rain and severe weather. Many neighborhoods locally have decided amongst themselves to do it Friday.  Hooray for the kids I say.  We went out in pouring rain two years ago and I don't wish to repeat it.

So if it's windy on Easter would it be ok to do it like on a Tuesday?

LOL but generally trick-or-treating NEEDS to be done outside.  I'm not sure where I stand on this.  There's always umbrellas.

I don't have any kids that come and I live in the country. The country kids around here get driven to the suburbs I guess since that is what everybody else does and is easier.  In defense of them, it would be a long and scary walk to my house. But that doesn't mean that I wouldn't welcome them with treatsand rewards  that go beyond the pale just for doing it.

My daughter has a severe peanut allergy and she knows to pick out what candy she can eat when getting trick or treat candy. If she doesn't get a lot, we'll trade out the peanut stuff for others, but we do not expect others to go out of their way to accommodate our child. If they do, great, but it's our responsibility.

As I've learned in the last 3 years living in Iowa, is iowa does stand for Idiots Out Walking Around.

Here in Iowa, trick or treating happens on the 30th, and is called Beggars Night.

I live in a state of morons. Trick or Treatin' is for Halloween on Halloween.

Beggers  night? Never heard of that here?
All I know is that in my city both the parade and trick or treating is Saturday the 31st which is Halloween. I also believe those matters are decided by each city individually, not the State so you are in error sir.
