I just got a call from my sister. She said one of the other girls at her apartment absolutely went nuts the other night. A door was kicked in, windows were broken, death threats were made. The woman was arrested and charged with property damage and terroristic threats(is this a misdemeanor or felony?). The woman got evicted, and the law states that the woman must havbe three days to move before any further action, like a criminal trespass warning, is taken. My sister has not slept much for three nights, and she does NOT feel safe at all. The woman is apparantly out of jail, and my sister has been faced with sleeping alone in her half of the building. The situation is exacerbated by the fact that the woman continues to damage the property, like sabotaging the doorbell, and turning off the electricity. Everybody who was a witness says the woman is completely unpredictable and is a likely danger. I gave my sister a couple of options for safe, dark places to sleep. I told her she won't feel safe until the danger is removed. She can't force a feeling of safety, and trying to do so isn't a good idea.
I don't know why I wrote this, just felt like I needed to say it somewhere.
