Got my Jeep (TJ) up to 120mph, downhill, pulling a trailer. I almost shat myself when I looked at the speedometer. Somewhere in Wyoming.

142 I believe. 86 nissan 300zx. Lost my nerve though, I had cheap tires I didn't trust to go much faster.
In my old f150 I got to N. It didn't have a needle at the end of the speedo  It gets kinda floaty about 1 or so.

About 150mph, corrected speed, on my Kawi '06 636.

It was fun, but I started to fell the front end become slightly less stable, no steering damper, and decided to back her off.

About 160 on a bike.  God, what a stupid teenager I was.

Not much my cars aren't geared for it or I run out of road.  All of my Mopars are 3.55 or 3.73 so at 1:1 I run out of gear.  My focus doesn't have the balls to use a short distance to go fast so I have to wind it out and I run out of road.  Plus it's not safe to speed

120 on a Kawasaki 500.

Well the ticket said 87 mph and I had just let off the gas to go around a slight curve.  Probably around 90 or so. 89 F150.

135 and pulling hard in my Mach1, not bad for a 72'.   Ran out of road and had to let off.

An indicated 144 on the straight at Grattan in a C5 Corvette, and an indicated 125 in a 911SC on the straights at Road America. While younger and stupid, the speedo on my Honda Interceptor read nearly 125 on a back road, not a track. I don't do that sort of thing these days. I've only done about 110 on the autobahn since the little BMW rental only had a 1.6 liter engine. Plus, over 90 or so, the gas mileage dropped dramatically.
10/2/2010 9:06:38 PM EDT

Only 116 or thereabouts.

125 on the old dirt mile in Sedalia Missouri in my late model race car.

140 in a 1973 Pontiac Grand Am with a 400. I was running out of straight road or I could have went a little faster

I was following my dad and trying to keep up while he passed someone. The speedometer only goes to 100. So the 120 figure is what he gave when he was chewing my butt off over the phone.

155mph  Mass Pike southbound.

Speedo topped out at 120.  I was using the Heads-Up Display after that.  Which was a good thing, because I couldn't take my eyes off the road.

I was young and had a fast fucking car.  I get squeemish just thinking about that day now.

75?  That's highway speed around here.

I think I accidentally poked 95 downhill at night on a long stretch in my XJ.  Wind was going east from behind me, was dark, no other traffic to gauge my speed... Looked down, went

~91mph in my stock 1997 Chevy Cavaler convertible on a slightly descending highway at 1am. After that the car started shaking badly enough for me to let up...

I can reach 80 easily on level ground.

Were you getting a bumper push from a Veyron?

A 2009 Mustang GT is not capable of 170mph.  Unless it was HEAVILY modified.

145 driving, 170 as a passenger. Did a ride-along in a Cup car, but I never knew how fast we were going. Could have been going 130, could have been going 180, no idea. I was too busy staring at the wall (which seemed inches away) and realizing that I would probably crack half the teeth in my mouth if we hit it.

Drove 105-110 on a gravel road once when I was 17. Wasn't a nice "clean" rally style gravel road, either.  Dusty, rocky, straight ass country road. No fucking idea what I was thinking, just put some loud, fast music on the stereo and floored it. I really had no comprehension of what would have happened to me if I had lost control.

155 in a '67 Maserati Ghibli

Even passed a CHP, who was parked on the right side on the 101, near Malibu Canyon.

I stepped on the gas and kept going, thinking it would be 30 seconds at least, before he knew what blew by him and I got off a stop, or two, up the highway and parked under the overpass for a couple of minutes.  I went back the other way and he was gone, so he went after me!

I was nervous as shit.

My dad's was burgundy.
