With all of the socialism and fascism that is invading the government, and the likelihood that the majority of benefit receivers will out vote the benefit payers, I'd like to ask a couple of serious questions from the GD crew.  I must predicate these questions with the request that responses to these questions do not involve violence or the threat of violence.  There has got to be another way other than either voting or violence.

1.  Resistance.  How do we resist this socialism.  How do we opt out?  There have been several states passing resolutions on state sovereignty, but the federal government has bastardized the 10th amendment to allow them to do just about anything they want.  They also have the power of the 16th amendment allowing them to collect income taxes.  So the question here is how do we not take part in the halfrican plans and send a message that we WILL NOT participate.

2.  Our government is made up of individual senators and congress critters.  How do we get to them personally.  I'm not talking about voting them out of office, I am talking about holding them personally accountable for the decisions they make and their attempt to control not just our behavior, but the core of our lives.  What could we do to them individually to get them to stop.  I'm talking about Waxman, Frank, Feingold, Emanuel, et al.

Thanks for the replies.  Again, please do not post violence or threats of violence.  We all know the 2nd amendment allows us the means to overthrow an unjust government with force, but I don't believe we are at that point.  I do believe that the senators and congress critters feel completely insulated from us and have spent millions of our tax dollars to both protect themselves from us and to make sure that their standard of living and style of living does not reflect that of us.

1.  Do as much as you can "off the radar." Buy from craigslist, farmers markets, buy your eggs from the guy that has a handpainted wooden sign next to his driveway. Do jobs for cash, and offer to pay those who do work for you with cash. If they don't feel like paying the taxes on it, what can you do?
2. Sue the hell out of each and every one of them, numerous times, just like they did to Palin.

We each feed and perpetuate the system. It takes a lot to fight it.
Alternative economy/flea market/farmers market is a huge way.

What you're suggesting, OP, isn't going to happen.

Soap box - Ballot Box - Ammo Box

That is the only order it can go in.

Every single one of us needs to stop paying taxes.  When the paycheck doesn't come they will get the hint that they are oficially on notice.

While I support this practice as a common sense approach, let us not forget that we have a .gov with no compunction whatsoever about spending more money than they have. It may keep us all in food, but I'm not sure we'll see any articulable impact on the way any congresscritters vote.

From the movie- Enemy at the Gates:

"Give them a hero".

We don't have one.  We are failing because we don't have a dynamic figure to rally around- no one for inspiration or leadership.  We are a like an infantry platoon with no platoon sergeant.  A gaggle.  A clusterfuck.

Nothing screams "FED" like this OP.

This thread is a trap.

It's past fixing it with Congress. In my opinion the only recourse is helping the .gov and system collapse.

The things mentioned above as well as driving 5 mph under the speedlimit (not for gas or greeny concerns) to 'starve the state' are good choices.

What I hope to do eventually is live on a farm producing my own sustenance and work for under taxable income.

It's not a trap and I'm not a Fed.  I've been on some other boards and decided to join this one.  Thanks for the warm welcome.

I appreciate your vigilance, but does registering recently make you a FED?
He didn't say anything racist or ask how to make bombs or convert rifles into full autos so I didn't see him has a FED.

The only way this Government is going to be reformed is economically.  The only thing that gives them the ability to borrow, is their ability to extract taxes from us.

As tax revenue goes down, their ability to borrow will diminish.

Nothing special is needed from us.  The economy will lead to decreasing tax revenue, and they are going to hit the debt wall pretty soon.  In a way, it is a self correcting problem, although the correction mechanism may take several generations.
