BLUF: I bought something on the EE and received negative feedback for a misunderstanding that was promptly resolved with the seller (I think - since I can't tell when the feedback was left).

To be clear, I don't have a problem with the transaction itself, since I PM'd the seller and I believe everything is good now. He may have just jumped the gun on leaving negative feedback.

I've done hundreds of deals here over the years and have not had one single negative feedback rating and I'd like it to stay that way.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

A coworker that turned me on to this place had a similar situation, except it had something to do with him making a mistake with the new EE where he didn’t understand the whole accept offer thing and wound up selling an item to two people on accident.

One of them left him negative feedback and he tried to get the mods to remove it and they basically told him that even though it was a mistake, too bad, zero tolerance, the feedback stands.

This guy was always selling or buying stuff and from what he said, had hundreds of feedback, all positive before that.

I remember that day because he was pretty pissed about it and griping about it at work.  He said he never renewed his membership and quit this place and refuses to come back.  When I text him a link to something here, he just replies “nope” or something similar.

My guess is you’re going to have to contact a mod for the EE and hope they’ll sort it out in a positive way for you.  Since the other person sounds decent, it might work out for you.

God luck.

I don't understand leaving a negative for that.

A one time negative feedback means nothing to me if you have , say a dozen good ones.

Agreed, seems kind of petty.

I contacted a mod who advised I ask the seller to contact an EE mod to get it resolved.

It has been resolved - thanks all.
