I see a red templar cross and a bfl - don't know if that is your old or new avatar.
Maybe you just need to clear your cache and look again.

The ratio of width to height is off on your avatar - this makes it distort.

Avatars here display 175 pixels wide by 95 tall. Yours is smaller, so it gets magnified, which causes pixilation.
